Woman Hair Transplant

When it comes to hair loss and baldness, men first come to mind. However, hair loss and hair thinning may occur in women as well as men. Factors such as poor living conditions, stress, wrong nutrition, and sleep disorders can negatively affect hair health. Additionally, genetic factors, gynecological diseases, hormonal changes and pregnancy can also cause hair to lose its strength.

Women who consult a doctor with complaints of hair loss can regain healthy hair as a result of various treatments. However, these treatments sometimes may not work. Women who cannot find a solution to their hair loss can turn to hair transplantation clinics to have healthy hair.

How is hair transplantation performed in women?

A small square area is determined right in the middle of the donor area (back of the head).

Only this area is shaved. Other areas can keep. After the grafts are taken from the donor area homogenicly, the transplantation process begins. Transplantation is done with the DHI (unshaved) technique. The aim is to densify the hair and redesign the front line.

Things to consider after surgery are followed.
Starting from the first 4th month, hair begins to become visible. The best results are obtained from the 6th month. The final result is received after the completion of the first year.

Which Technique for women?

Hair transplantation treatment for women is basically the same as the hair transplantation method for men. However, there are some differences. Before starting hair transplantation treatment for men, the hair is shaved and then the procedure begins. For women, hair transplantation is performed without hair shaving. Therefore, the DHI technique is suitable.

How long does it take the surgery?

The surgery takes around 5-6 hours. However, you might have to short breaks for your needs. (Restroom, lunch etc.) When break times are added, the surgery duration may reach 6-7 hours.

Things to Consider After Surgery

The first week is very important. Then 15 days and the first month follow this process. Your medical assistant will share with you your schedule for nutrition, medications and sleeping in the first week. Apart from that, swimming pool, sports and wearing hats are prohibited for the first month.
